Everyone knows that Sarasota is the “Art Capital” of Florida.

We are culturally rich in visual and performing arts, architecture and artisans. Our venues run deep and wide and each of us are enriched by some facet of the art community. Whether it’s enjoying our outdoor big band concert or the opening night at the opera…. Galleries, regional theatre, museums, ballet, circus, artists’ colonies and every variety of festival imaginable including film, juried art and jazz.

One of my favorite artistic endeavors is the Season of Sculpture along our magnificent Sarasota Bayfront. They are just placing the pieces now and we are already a buzz with excitement.
